BUSINESS & COMMERCIAL TIER 1
Tier 1 Work Permit applications are sometimes known as fast track applications. They are a less complicated version of the Tier 2 application which includes an exemption from conducting a recruitment search of the labour market within the EU.

SHORTAGE OCCUPATIONS
This is an official list of shortage occupations. The government recognises that qualified personnel are in exceptionally short supply for these roles. The dearth of skilled personnel in these areas is accepted as being so severe that recruitment efforts would be a futile exercise. If an individual qualifies by the government's standards to do a job from the list below, there is also no real question over whether or not the job, or the person, meets the skills threshold.
