WHAT IS A WORK PERMIT?
Description
A Business & Commercial Work Permit enables a UK employer to employ a candidate from outside the EU for a specific job. The Work Permit can be issued for anything from 1 day up to 5 years depending on the length of time requested.
Opening doors
Work Permit employment not only provides the employer with the right person for the job but also enables a non-EU candidate to gain skills and experience of working and living in the UK which can only have a positive effect on their future career. In our experience Work Permit candidates are well educated, motivated, appreciative and loyal.

Additional Information
UK Entry Clearance
This is issued to applicants wishing to stay in the UK for six months or more.
UK Entry Clearance takes the form of a sticker placed in a passport at a visa
issuing post overseas (normally a UK embassy or consulate). The applicant must
already have been granted a work permit in order to apply.
Spouse / Unmarried Partner
A spouse or unmarried partner of a UK Work Permit holder can apply for entry clearance into the UK on a UK Work Permit Dependancy visa if they can prove that they have been married to or cohabiting with the holder of the UK Work Permit. If they are unmarried they must be able to prove that the relationship has been in existence for at least 2 years prior to the application for the UK Work Permit.
Further Leave to Remain
For those candidates in the UK wishing to switch or extend their permit an FLR
application must be completed. The onus is on the work permit holder to make
sure they complete and apply on the relevant FLR form, not the company sponsoring
the application. However, as an employer it is your responsibility to make
sure that anyone that you employ has the correct leave to remain in the UK
so that you are not employing the individual illegally.
