NEW WORK PERMIT AND VISA FORMS RELEASED:
The subsequent forms have been updated by the Home Office:
BUS, FLR(M), FLR(O), FLR(S), FLR(SEGS), FLR(FT:WISS), FLR(IED), SET(F), SET(M), SET(O), ELR, NTL and TOC.
Any older versions of these forms completed and submitted on or after 22nd June 2006 will be discarded. Please Note: Since Work Permit fees are for the deliberation procedure rather than definite approval they will not be refunded for these rejected applications.
People with an Immigration Employment Document (IED) now need a new version of the Further Leave to Remain form FLR(IED) to apply for extensions of their stay. This comes in several categories. Students (FLR(S)) and spouses/unmarried partners (FLR(M)), religious ministers and other various designations (FLR(O)) are some of the likely categories which all require work permits and visas of various types.
Main Alterations to the FLR(IED):
- The address to which you must submit your application is different;
- Section 6 (applicant's personal history) has modified questions;
- The charge has been waived for applicants from Andorra, Azerbaijan and FYR of Macedonia;
- There are new contact details for the teams dealing with applications.
The SET forms are very similar to the FLRs, except they are usually for a request of indefinite leave to remain, not just an extension to stay.
The BUS is for business persons, retired persons of independent means, investors or innovators to apply for extension of stay or for indefinite leave to remain.
Main Alterations to the BUS form:
- The address to which you must submit your application is different;
- Section 6 (applicant's personal history) has modified questions;
- Qualifying period for settlement has increased from 4 to 5 years.
The WRS (Workers Registration Scheme) application forms and guidance have also been updated.
