ETCi offer several routes to employment in the UK for non-EU candidates. The routes detailed on this website deal mainly with highly skilled individuals who do not require assistance in gaining a position at a UK company. P/GH. Job placement services are not offered in tandem with permit services.
WORK PERMITS
To qualify for a Work Permit you must have a valid UK job offer. Work permits are job specific and employer driven. This means that the candidate must only be recruited for a particular job with the named employer. Your potential UK employer must apply for the permit on your behalf. HIGHLY SKILLED MIGRANT PROGRAMME
The HSMP is a visa scheme allowing highly skilled individuals to come to the UK to look for work in their chosen field. You do not need a job offer to qualify for this scheme, although it may increase your chances of being accepted. Click on the link below to complete our FREE online assessment.
The HSMP will be available for candidates outside the UK until 31st March for candidates from India and until Summer 2008 for candidates from other countries. Tier 1 (General) of the new Points Based System is gradually replacing the HSMP.

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES SCHEME
The International Graduates Scheme (IGS) allows overseas students that have completed a degree ar a recognised UK university within the past 12 months to stay/return to the uk to look for work for 12 months.
ETCi can assist with this application if you are still within the UK.
If you are outside the UK you should apply at your loacal British consulate/embassy.
IGS will be replaced by Tier 1 (Post Study Work) in mid-2008. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
TIER 1 (GENERAL)
Tier 1 (General) is the 1st tier of the UK's new PBS (Points Based System) to be introduced and will replace the HSMP.
Applicants within the UK wishing to switch/extend their HSMP must now do so under the Tier 1 (General) rules.
The system is similar to the current HSMP with a few minor changes.
