FURTHER LEAVE TO REMAIN

Applying for Further Leave to Remain (FLR) means making an application to extend your time in the UK for a set period and obtaining a new stamp in your passport granting you Limited Leave to Remain in the UK.

When you switch from another visa or work permit you are changing the status under which you were originally allowed to enter the UK therefore it is a legal requirement to gain permission to remain in the UK.

This application must be completed and submitted before your current leave expires, and in any case within 6 months of issue of the new permit, otherwise your application will fail and any new Work Permit you have been approved for will not be valid.
